I'm a Saveur Blog Awards 2019 Finalist!

Perhaps one of my proudest moments. I've been named a finalist for the Saveur 2019 Blog Awards in the incredibly apt, Most Obsessive Category. It feels great to be recognized for something, I simply just love.

I learned how to make sourdough by following The Perfect Loaf. I remember thinking how amazing it was that he won the Most Obsessive Category in 2018. Fast-forward 1 year later and I've been named a finalist for the same exact category.

I'm so honored that a handful of people have come to appreciate my little corner of the internet. I'm not a professional cook, a trained baker, or even the best amateur out there, but I do love baking bread, creating recipes and sharing them with all of you.

The voting period had ended before I even found out I was a finalist. Mostly because my life got a little busy, and I knew about the awards but I never bothered to check the list of finalists, since I didn't think there was anyway I would be one of them. I also totally ignored a message from Saveur, thinking it was just a marketing email. Lesson learned, pay attention to my emails.
